03.1 Software documentation #

This user manual gives you an overview of the technical aspects of the platform. It serves as a guide from creating users to customizing assets and gateways. It contains descriptions and procedures for all applications of the portal, according to the release version

03.2 Platform environment #

The following Google products are used for data processing and storage:

• BigQuery is used for data storage and ad-hoc analysis
• The processing of data as well as the provision of a web portal for visualizations is done in the App Engine
• The App Engine uses its own Datastore database to store states and metadata Data sets and raw data are temporarily stored in Cloud-memory

The software was programmed in such a way that a change to another platform is basically possible. In case of a change, the corresponding platform interfaces must be implemented.
